The Talent
Who we work with & what they are about
Carl Cox
A musical ambassador since he was in short trousers, a professional DJ since his early teens, a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno, Carl Cox emits a love of his work that is dangerously infectious.
Check him when he's behind the turntables and you can't mistake his ecstatic visage, dripping with sweat as his head bobs up and down to the beat, his hands pumping the air whenever they're not manipulating the turntables, his body swaying back and forth, frequently taking to the mike to share word on the latest underground tune he's about to break. You name it, Carl's been there and done it, but he's never lost sight of the point of it: playing music, breaking tunes, spreading love, celebrating life.
Last weekend in NYC and DC was amazing, many thanks party people, now road trip to Monaco, from London for the F1 race and @redbull :)
Cassy
Cassy Britton has meticulously fashioned her craft over the last decade, approaching her productions and DJ sets with an attention to detail and passion that is hard to surpass. Her dedication to music, twinned with her gift for reading the crowd has meant that her profile has grown to worldwide recognition amongst fans and within the industry.
She moved to Berlin in 2003 to hone her skills on the club circuit, soon after this relocation Cassy secured a residency at Panorama Bar in Berghain cementing her name in the DJ annals. She has a diverse body of work on highly-regarded labels such as Playhouse, Perlon, Ostgut Ton and Cocoon. She also runs her own self-titled label, using it for an outlet for her unique sound. Cassy does not subscribe to any one genre, she glides between house and techno, with a hint Viennese traditionalism she continues to use vinyl, but with a contemporary, superstylish and swaggery sound she creates soul and balance in her DJ sets, moulding and shaping her performance to the audience, taking them on an adventure, whether an intimate secret gig or a huge festival arena. Cassy continues her residency at Panorama Bar, and is also resident at Rex in Paris and Trouw in Amsterdam and will be touring widely in 2013.
Charlie Hedges
She broadcasts to over 4 million people every week. She is one of the most listened-to voices in the UK, and now she’s the UK’s hottest new club DJ. Meet 25-year-old Charlie Hedges.
"People don't believe me when I say I wake up happy, but I do,” she insists, getting up at 3.30am every day to present the KISS FM Breakfast show. “I love my job so much that I could get up at one in the morning if I had to.” Charlie is the UK’s youngest female breakfast DJ, a feat she puts down to hard work and determination. Outside of the KISS studio, Charlie has also been busy making a name for herself as a club DJ.’ Since her first gig two years ago, Charlie has since been booked at Proud2, Ministry of Sound, Global Gathering, V Festival, Wireless, Isle of White Festival, Electric Brixton & Space, Ibiza. As well as waking the nation up Charlie now keeps the nation awake! Spring 2012 sees Charlie taking over a prime weekend slot on Kiss FM playing her unique ‘electro with a twist’ sound.

Copy Paste Soul
Sub heavy, UK rave inspired broken beats from this illusive producer, Copy Paste Soul…
2012/13 has witnessed the rise of this new artist. Over a series of a few EPs, he has gained supporters high and wide. Luminaries of the scene such as Annie Mac, Justin Martin and Skream to name just a few. Incorporating his love of Detroit Techno, Drum N Bass and US / UK Garage, his new found fusion is now what we call the UK house sound.
Guy J
Israeli producer Guy J has established himself as one of the most sophisticated and emotive producers in electronic music of the last decade, with a body of work and a sphere of influence that belies a relatively short time in the spotlight
Whether it be his sensual, hypnotic take on house music, his deeply textured techno or his wondrous ambient material, his work is always touched with a magic and emotion that few rival. 2012 sees Guy kick off an exciting new project with his close colleagues and friends at Bedrock: his very own imprint “Lost & Found”, a sub-label for John Digweed’s long running mothership where he’ll release music by himself and his favourite producers.
Just Be (Bushwacka!)
JUST BE has held many guises in his journey through electronic music. Launching his career as Matthew B in the midst of the UK acid house explosion, his identity and sound has undertaken many a metamorphosis, through Bushwacka!, The End Soundsystem, Layo and Bushwacka! to settle for the meantime on JUST BE.
His continual evolution, thirst for new sounds and epic touring schedule has ingrained his many identities across the international club scene. JUST BE’s roots grew out of the underground warehouse parties and illegal raves that shook the foundations of the establishment, quite literally. This anarchic environment gave JUST BE total creative freedom, an ethos that continues to this day in his music.
Jon Rundell
Jon has never been a follower. Very much his own man and entirely his own artist, he has never been swayed by trends or fashions. Preferring instead to challenge and ask questions of what’s going on around him, Jon’s output has remained unique and interesting right from the start of his career back in 1996.
Experimental at times, but always matured & versatile, he has remained a highly consistent producer & DJ across almost any strand of electronic music for the last 15 years. Jon's unique but diverse blend of sounds has won him many admirers globally. Of all his virtues as both DJ & Producer, Jon's greatest seems to be an innate understanding of what makes his audience tick and the uncanny ability to translate that into his stellar productions.
John Digweed
John has long since cemented his name in the pages of dance music history. At the apex of the international DJ'ing world he has created and maintained a level of integrity that is the benchmark for both DJs and producers globally.
His list of achievements is groundbreaking to say the least, highlights include launching Bedrock – the hugely successful record label and promotions company, touring the planet with legendary names, from David Bowie and Moby to Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox. His Transitions Radio show is now 10 years old and broadcasting to over 30 countries across the world to a weekly audience of over 12 million.
Always a pleasure and a privilege to play in #Detroit. Can't wait for @MovementDetroit on Monday. http://t.co/tEmPqRFWaC
Nicole Moudaber
A true force to be reckoned with as a DJ and producer, Nicole Moudaber’s rise through the ranks of the DJ elite has been swift, purposeful and striking.
Propelled by her flawlessly executed, sleazy, edgy house and tough, soulful techno sounds, she now sits at the very forefront of today’s exciting international EDM scene.
She’s spent weeks at the top of the Beatport Techno Chart with her remix of Carl Cox’s ‘Chemistry’ on Intec, dropped killer tracks for labels including Drumcode, 8Sided Dice, Kling Klong and Waveform Recordings, while remixing the likes of Santos, Martin Eyer, Mauro Picotto, Fergie and Bart Skills.
System of Survival
Dedicated purveyors of all that is good in house music, System of Survival are Pietro 'Bingo' De Lisi and Alex Carpentieri, and have been resident DJs at that bastion of underground Ibiza, Circo Loco, since the party first began over decade ago. Living, playing, producing and releasing material together since '89 in Italy, they were amongst the first DJs brought by promoters Antonio & Andreas, to reside in Ibiza at DC10, and have since mastered the main room, terrace and car park with equal ease. Their ability to carry a crowd, blend seamlessly between styles and fill in the gaps around the countless guests that they have supported is true testament to the role of a resident, and has led to them flying the Circo Loco flag throughout the years and across the globe. Apart from touring with the DC10 crew, Bingo and Alex have been steadily riding a wave of popularity, gaining momentum through their own headlining dates at the likes of Panorama Bar & Watergate, Berlin: Circoloco at Detroit Music Festival or Culprit Session at Standard Los Angeles . A commitment to style beyond fashion and a propensity to mix the old with the new, has brought them unwittingly to the forefront of the current trends in sound, making them as popular with other DJs as they are with their fans.
True aficionados, the boys, between them, boast a remarkable knowledge and back catalogue of music, across styles and genres, and nowhere is this more evident than in their productions. Their first longplayer album is a both a reflection on their future vision of house, and a tribute to the sounds that have inspired them to this point. After a chance listening by Ellen Allien, it has been signed and released on Bpitch Control Records
Tania Vulcano
Tania Vulcano
The indisputable First Lady of CircoLoco and Queen of DC10 Ibiza, Tania Vulcano was there when it all began on those Monday mornings back in 1999 and continues to be a beacon for quality underground music. Whilst still typically playing the headline Terrace set for Circo Loco at DC10, Tania is global representative for the brand and continent-hops every weekend to meet the persistent demand for her music. Unsurprisingly, in many ways it is Tania's sound itself that acts as a showcase for what Circo Loco is all about. Vulcano, Uruguayan incidentally, now also runs the successful label Isgud Records. Featuring her own productions and others that truly embrace the deep spirit of deep, percussive vinyl grooves, Isgud has rapidly garnered a reputation for only the finest house music.
UMEK
UMEK leaped from Slovenia’s boutique techno scene in the mid 90s to become one of the most important techno players in the world. He successfully captured the first era of researching and recreating the rules of the dance music in Recycled Loops, Consumer Recreation and Astrodisco platforms, stamping the sound of Slovenian techno on the world map of electronic music.
1605 Music Therapy, tagged as a great success, is one of the world’s fastest growing techno labels, spawning releases and new talents almost every week. Umek’s radio show “Behind The Iron Curtain” continues to grow with vigour. With all this, UMEK continues to stay focused on his primary goal – making and selecting high quality productions that stand out from the rest while bringing his sound closer to people all around the world.
Uto Karem
Seemingly leading the pack of Italy’s rising stars is Uto Karem, who in just a short period of time has produced hit after hit with forward thinking dance tracks that are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere. With an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves.
As well as being an in-demand remixer, DJ and producer, Uto also runs his own Agile Recordings imprint on which he explores the same deep techno rhythms and loopy hypnotism as he does with his original works.
Landing on labels that include Plus 8, Sci+Tec, Minus, Great Stuff, Definitive, Tronic, just to name a few. Uto Karem's trademark is brimming with energy and groove.
Yousef
He is a DJ and producer that literally lives and breathes house music and who still practices his sets today - always trying to improve his technical abilities. He is also a DJ and producer that knows how to put the fun into house music and loves a good ‘Circus’.
The new decade sees Yousef consolidating his status as an international DJ, Producer, Club Promoter and Music aficionado with ever greater impact. Running one of Europe’s premier clubnights co-exists alongside manning a record label of the same name, whilst his reputation as a DJ grows with increasing stature and a constantly escalating global calendar.
